The Executive Office (Bureau Exécutif) oversees the prepares the implementation of actions in the delegated responsibility of the board of directors of the INC.
The Executive Office includes Dr Guy BERCHEM (President, MD), Dr Marc BERNA (Vice-president,MD), Ms Anne GOERES (Treasurer) and Dr Sigrid DE WILDE (Secretary, MD).
Dr Nikolai GONCHARENKO (Director, PhD) responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the INC takes part in the meetings of the Executive Office.
The membres of the Board of Directors (Conseil d’Administration) represent the founding organisations of the INC:
A representative of the Ministry of Health, Mr Tom RAUSCH (Prevention Policy Coordinator and Deputy General Manager) participates in the meeting of the board of Directors of the INC as an observer.
The scientific Advisory Board (Conseil Scientifique) of INC includes representatives of the public and private bodies involved in the provision of cancer care in Luxembourg, professional medical organisations, as well as organisations conducting research in the domain of oncology.
The presidency of the Scientific Advisory Board is carried by Guy BERCHEM, medical oncologist.

The INC is looking for an
• Leading the coordination and implementation at the national/cross-border level of EU-funded projects in the field of oncology, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines and budgets
• Promoting that EU initiatives are aligned with the activities of the National Cancer Plan (PNC2 2020-2026)
• Engaging and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including European and national partners (e.g. clinical partners, research institutes, patient associations, Ministry of Health and Social Security/Directorate of Health,…)
• Coordinating the activities at the national level through multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication across all project phases
• Overseeing all aspects of grant compliance, including periodical reporting, financial management and adherence to EU funding guidelines (EU4Health/Mission Cancer/Horizon Europe actions)
• Monitoring project progress, present synthetic updates to the INC management
• Developping and implementing effective communication plans to disseminate project results to various audiences, including scientific communities, policymakers and the public
• Contributing to other synergistic INC projects/activities
• Degree (Master, Bachelor, or similar) in a relevant field of expertise: e.g., life sciences, medicine/nursing/pharmacy, public health, social sciences
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in project management or any other relevant area (e.g., biomedical, clinical, public health), preferably with EU-funded projects
• Knowledge of the healthcare sector and the hospital environment; knowledge of the quality management system or the certification system of hospitals is an asset
• Knowledge of EU funding mechanisms and project lifecycle management
• Self-motivated, reliable and solution-oriented mindset with good negotiation and communication skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
• Very good command of English and French and/or German; knowledge of Luxembourgish is an asset
• Business trips in Luxembourg and in the EU are to be expected

The INC is looking for an
• Supporting the coordination and implementation of certification initiatives within or across multiple hospitals, ensuring projects are completed on time and in line with the applicable quality standards
• Collaborating with hospital management, clinical staff, quality officers, data protection officers, to facilitate the certification process; build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Promoting best practices in quality management, supporting hospitals through the certification process and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and with European projects when applicable
• Tracking the progress of certification projects, preparing detailed reports for key stakeholders (national partners, European partners and management); ensure timely submission of all required documentation
• Assisting the care network coordinator(s) in daily operations to maintain a high standard of care and compliance with the certification requirements
• Leading the process of defining requirements for a common database to collect quality indicators and a standardised tool for conducting national tumor boards, ensuring the solution supports national initiatives (National Cancer Plan PNC2 2020-2026) and certification objectives
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the care network(s) and within the INC, supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Playing a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing the INC’s internal quality and safety management system, ensuring it meets high quality standards and supports continuous improvement efforts
• Degree (Master, Bachelor, or similar) in a relevant field of expertise: e.g., healthcare management, life sciences, social sciences, public health
• At least 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably within the healthcare sector. Experience in quality management or certification processes is highly desirable.

• Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Assisting the Project Manager team in coordinating the activities at the national level through multidisciplinary teams, by handling administrative duties including scheduling meetings and maintaining project documentation up-to-date
• Supporting the preparation of project documentation, periodical reports, financial reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including EU funding bodies
• Assisting in monitoring project progress and managing budgets
• Contributing to the communication and dissemination activities related to the EU projects
• Degree (Master, Bachelor, or similar) in a relevant field of expertise: e.g., life sciences, health, public health, social sciences
• Some experience (e.g. internship, student projects, entry-level positions) in project support or any other relevant area (e.g., biomedical, clinical, public health)
• Basic understanding of project management principles
