We are proud to announce Luxembourg’s participation in the EUNetCCC and JANE-2 JointActions in the fight against cancer, flagship European cooperation projects aimed at improving cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment across Europe.
The kick-off meeting of our national consortium marked an important milestone in bringing together our Luxembourg institutions [Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), Institut National du Cancer (INC), Université du Luxembourg, Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL), Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (HRS), Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch (CHEM), Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN), Ministère de la Santé et de la Sécurité sociale Luxembourg (M3S/DiSa), Centre François Baclesse (CFB), Centre de Réhabilitation du Château de Colpach (CRCC), Laboratoire national de santé (LNS)] and strengthening our commitment to improving cancer care. Together with our European partners, we are implementing concrete actions to ensure better patient care and significant progress in research.
The EUNetCCC and JANE-2 initiatives bring together experts, researchers, and clinicians from EU member states to:
These projects demonstrate Luxembourg’s commitment to medical research, international collaboration, and transforming healthcare systems to meet the challenges of cancer.
We look forward to working with our partners to advance the fight against cancer and improve the quality of life for patients in Luxembourg and across Europe.
These projects are co-financed by the EU4Health program of the European Commission.

On 25-26 September, the INC organised a conference, which focused on two main themes: the implementation and digitalisation of patient pathways, and the concept of patient-centeredness.
This conference was organised under the auspices of the National Cancer Plan 2, and co-hosted with the Luxembourg Institute of Health and the Fondation Cancer.
We had the pleasure to welcome experts from the Research Group Digital Health, Technical University of Dresden: Dr. Hannes Schlieter, Dr. Peggy Richter and Emily Hickmann.
More than 50 attendees from diverse health-related institutions contributed to the fruitful discussions.

Our team participated to the 6th edition of the LËTZ GO GOLD race to collect money for pediatric cancer research.
More than 600 000 euros were collected for this purpose.
Congratulation to all participants!

The INC participated to the kick-off meeting of the european project Establishing of Cancer Mission Hubs: Networks and Synergies (“ECHoS”) on May 3rd and 4th, attended by organizations from 28 member countries.

Fondation Cancer launched the Génération Sans Tabac strategy the 8th of March, 2023 (tobacco free generation). This strategy aims to enable today’s children and youth to become the first generation to live in a smoke-free environment by 2040. This is in collaboration with its 36 partners, including the INC.

The INC participates in the actions organised during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (the Pink October) to support breast cancer prevention and screening campaigns in Luxembourg.

The INC supports the 5th series of the LËTZ GO GOLD solidarity race this Saturday, September 24, 2022, organised by the Foundation Kriibskrank Kanner. Each donation is essential for financing research on paediatric cancers, which is aimed at accelerating the development of more effective treatments for saving more lives of children with cancer.

Luxembourg and Gosselies, Belgium, 29 October 2018 – the INC (Institut National du Cancer) is pleased to announce the start of MDLUX2, a molecular diagnostics programme funded by the Fondation Cancer, the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner and IBBL (Integrated BioBank of Luxembourg), and implemented with the support of OncoDNA.
